Confirming your address unlocks the rest of the account. A link is sent the moment you sign up, and clicking it is the whole job. If it never arrived, or has stopped working, you can send yourself another from the login page.
Before you start
- Access to the inbox you signed up with
Confirm your address
- Open the email from MockGateway.
- Click the link inside it.
- You land back in the app with Email verified successfully.
If you had been signed out when you clicked, you land on the login page instead with Email verified! You can now sign in. Either way the address is confirmed.
Sending yourself a new link
Links work once and expire, so a second click on an old one fails. Sign in — an unconfirmed account is held on a notice page — and use the button there. Watch for Verification link sent. Please check your inbox.
Two limits apply. Asking for a link is capped at three times a minute, and opening one at six times a minute. Clicking repeatedly trips both.
What this unlocks
Nearly everything past the dashboard: Payment Gateways, Templates, Webhooks, webhook logs, namespaces, mock routes, and the setup wizard. Until the address is confirmed, those screens send you back to the notice page.
That is why the step exists. A gateway sends webhooks to URLs you control and delivers notifications on your behalf, so the account needs an address that is genuinely yours.
If you use a provider login
Google, GitHub, and LinkedIn hand over an address they have already checked, so those accounts skip this step entirely. Nothing is emailed and nothing is gated.
The one case worth knowing: if you later change that address under Profile, the account falls back to the ordinary flow and a confirmation link is sent to the new address.
Check it worked
Open Payment Gateways. If it loads instead of bouncing you back, you are through.
If it didn't work
The email never arrived.
Check spam first. Sign-up succeeds even when the outgoing mail fails, on purpose — a mail problem should not cost you the account. It exists, so ask for a new link rather than signing up again.
The link is refused as invalid or expired.
Links are signed and time-limited. Request another and use it promptly.
You confirmed, and it is asking again.
Changing your address in Profile clears the confirmation, because the new one has not been proven yours. A fresh link goes to the new address.
You signed up with Google, GitHub, or LinkedIn.
The address comes confirmed from the provider. There is nothing to click.

With the account open, the quickstart runs a full payment in about five minutes.
